Tumor Bank Ovarian Cancer Network

Welcome to the TOC- Network – a group of scientist specializing in ovarian cancer research and rare gynecological tumors.
Established in the year 2000 by the Charite Women´s Clinic, The Tumor Bank Ovarian Cancer (TOC) strives toward enhancing the quality of translational research of ovarian cancer and rare gynecological tumors. This initiative has led to the founding of the International Tumor Bank Ovarian Cancer (TOC Network) in the year 2004, which kept the original mission of advancing ovarian cancer research and additionally steered its focus onto improving communication between cooperating clinics and researchers as well as establishing uniform research and documentation standards. To achieve this and simultaneously be able to guarantee the integrity of the anonymized data, the network ensured the development of collaborative systems and procedures for the generation, storage and the documentation of high- quality biological materials. Today, the network is comprised of a multitude of international university hospitals, and marks TOC itself as the largest tumor bank in this field worldwide, with over 6,500 ovarian cancer patients and their associated clinical data.
